HPS100 2+2
The HPS100 2+2 is Hirschmann Automotive’s compact current class 3 connector system for electric powertrain applications such as inverters, high-voltage batteries, e-motors, and DC/DC converters. Its two high-voltage contacts and two HVIL contacts are standard but can be omitted if not required, providing reliable high-voltage connectivity in a space-saving design.
Built for demanding operating environments, the connector is rated for up to 1,000 V DC, ambient temperatures from -40 °C to +125 °C, and installation altitudes of up to 5,600 m. IP6K9K/IPX8 protection, an optional 360° shield, an HVIL with first-break, lastmake functionality and an integrated CPA ensure dependable operation and secure connections.
An ergonomic lever mechanism keeps mating and unmating forces below 50 N, and the connector is suitable for manual, semi-automated and fully automated assembly. Repair solutions for male and female connectors make servicing easy, while options such as a two-step unmating concept, modular header installation, temperature sensing, captive screws, and tool-operated CPA opening allow adaptation to individual customer requirements.
