On July 25 Strong expansion with international automotive parts manufacturers ahead – China is key to globalization and future growth.
Shanghai (China)– Hirschmann automotive, an European provider of electronic connection, and sensor measuring systems for the automotive industry, has officially inaugurated its sales office in Shanghai, China. This is the next step of Hirsmann’s strong expansion in the country after the building of plant in Nantong. China has been developed to be the biggest automotive market, especially high growth in the premium segment. “We are very happy to officially announce that our Shanghai sales office is opened to serve Asian automotive customers closely, also I am very proud that we can have Jeff Ding to join our local management team of Hirschmann (Nantong) automotive company. He will lead all the sales and marketing organization in China”, said Max, the general manager of Hirschmann China, on the occasion of the inauguration ceremony. And the sales and marketing manager Jeff said, “ Our Shanghai sales office and upcoming built plant in Nantong city, Jiangsu province, shows our long term commitment for China automotive customers, including our local OEMs, 1st tiers and partners. We have the market leading over moulded and housing technology to support best quality and price competitive product to China market. Our team will provide quick response to meet local customers’ requirement. We are confident to extend our business in China together with our successful customers.” The strong expansion of the company’s Chinese activities is the most important driver of its globalization, which itself is key for long term growth and regionally balanced business. The plant in Nantong has a production area of around 10,000 square metres and will give work to at least 300 employees once operating at full capacity. Altogether, the Hirschmann China Group is expecting high local consolidated sales in 2014.
