Not to rest on our laurels,
With annual revenue growth in the double digits, we at Hirschmann Automotive are seeing our success continue into 2016. But there is absolutely no reason to rest on our laurels. We have created the basis for investing in our common future. The healthy number of orders from our customers is a sign of recognition and obligation at the same time.
For 2016, in addition to the 40 million euros expansion of the headquarters in Rankweil, we are planning on doubling the production area of the Kenitra (Morocco) plant by the third quarter. In San Miguel, Mexico, we are currently building a new plant which will begin production in a few weeks’ time. Our US sales office in Detroit will be expanded to include an application engineering department, so that our US customers can benefit from our specific expertise.
This growth trends is thus on solid footing in the years to come: we are continuously working on innovations and are thus growing both technologically and economically within the market environment. My colleague Thomas Mayer and I are fully aware that such positive business developments would not be possible without our employees. They all live our corporate culture and values, and are highly motivated.
I see a clear competitive edge over other market players in the close cooperation between our plants and departments around the world, and in our streamlined processes. This allows us to sustain our important characteristics, such as customer orientation and flexibility. It means we can treat our customers in the Czech Republic the same way we treat our customers in Mexico.
