The Representatives of Vorarlberg's Most Prominent Companies as Guests in Our Halls
On Tuesday evening, our logistics center at the headquarters in Rankweil was transformed into an event location! The reason was the “VN Top 100” event, where more than 300 top representatives and prominent entrepreneurs from Vorarlberg's economy and politics, including Finance Minister Magnus Brunner and Country Councilor Marco Tittler, were visiting. We are proud to have hosted this event, where Vorarlberg's largest and most successful companies are honored, and the VN Business Award is presented every year.

As every year, the time had come again at the beginning of September 2022: we welcomed 21 new apprentices and one business student to Hirschmann Automotive at the plant in Rankweil, Austria. This year, the newcomers went to Hotel Viktor in Viktorsberg for a few days to get to know each other.

Hirschmann Automotive expands its plant in Romania. At the end of March 2022, the automotive supplier opened a new production hall in Sânpaul, Romania, near Târgu Mureş. More than 2,100 employees are now employed here at two sites.

Hirschmann Automotive is at the forefront of this challenging transformation phase and is considered the Platzhirsch for individual customer solutions.
The automotive industry is in a constant state of change. For Hirschmann Automotive as an automotive supplier, the rapid development has enormous implications for strategic sales prospects. »In order to adapt the pace and flexibility to the market requirements, we have adapted our processes for this according to the market conditions and brought the designated functional areas closer together,« explains Pascal Hetzenauer (CSO).
For the megatrend of autonomous driving, the automotive supplier develops and produces connectors, special cable assemblies and sensors for vehicles of renowned OEMs. Electrification and other alternative drive technologies are placing new demands on connector systems, which the company is mastering with flying colors with in-house developments and the Hirschmann Automotive PowerStar product family. »We see digitalization, electromobility and sustainability as opportunities for growth and differentiation,« mentions Markus Ganahl (COO).
The automotive supplier is also represented in the field of micromobility by well-known global market leaders in the area of e-bikes, e-scooters as well as pedelecs as a system supplier for wiring harnesses and special cable assemblies. As a global company headquartered in Vorarlberg, Hirschmann Automotive has a significant influence on and determines all changes taking place in individual mobility.
When it comes to climate protection, Hirschmann Automotive also relies on a solid sustainability strategy and tackles the issue from its own innovative strength. Through the targeted expansion of the photovoltaic system at the Rankweil site and thus the use of renewable energy for 12% of its own requirements, the automotive supplier is using its enormous potential to improve its environmental balance. In addition, Hirschmann Automotive is making an important contribution to a sustainable future through the effective use of waste heat for heating, operation with green electricity, and also through the recycling and recovery of waste.
