The entire scale of the earthquake disaster in the Turkish-Syrian border region and the impact on the people is enormous! The employees and management of Hirschmann Automotive support the aid organization "Nachbar in Not" with a donation of 13,000 euros. Through this valuable contribution, the aid organization "Nachbar in Not" can help and support affected people.

The number of people killed or injured in the earthquakes in Turkey and Syria is staggering. According to the Turkish government, 20 million people have been affected by the quake. The United Nations estimates that 8.8 million people have been affected in Syria.

The consequences for the people in the earthquake zone are causing great consternation. The survivors lack the most basic necessities: tens of thousands of injured people are in need of medical care; survivors stand in front of ruins that were once their homes and have to shelter in tents and emergency quarters in bitterly cold temperatures. Food, water, and hygiene items are urgently needed.

It is more important now to show solidarity and to help these people quickly and in a targeted manner. Given the occasion, it was decided to launch an internal company appeal for donations and to donate the amount to the aid organization "Nachbar in Not" (Neighbor in Need). For almost thirty years, they have been on the road in international disaster areas to provide humanitarian aid.

A considerable total of 6,380 euros was collected by the employees of the automotive supplier. In the end, the management also doubled the amount, and thus 13,000 euros can be handed over to the aid organization "Nachbar in Not".
